To give access to your Pinterest account and Pinterest Ad account, you’ll need to ensure you have a Pinterest for business account.

Once you’re sure you have a business account, you can start giving access to your partners.

You can give different levels of access, depending on how much control you want to give someone.

How to give a partner business access to a Pinterest account

Follow these steps to give someone access to your Pinterest business account, so they can run ads and more:

1. Confirm that your partner also has a Pinterest business account and ask for their Pinterest business ID

2. Login to your Pinterest for business account 

3. Click on Business Access in the top right-hand corner menu

4. Click on Partners on the left-hand side

5. Click Invite partner ‍

6. Enter your partner’s business ID

7. Check Invite this partner to access your ad accounts and tools

8. Click Add partner

9. The partner will receive an email invitation that looks like this

10. Your partner clicks View invitation

11. Your partner logs in to their Pinterest business account

12. Clicks Accept invitation which gives them access to your Pinterest account

How to add a partner to your Pinterest Ad Account 

Once your agency or freelancer has Pinterest business access, you need to give them further permissions to access your Ad account. 

Here’s how to do it: 

1. Click on Ad accounts on the left-hand side in your Business Access section

2. Select the ad account you want to give access to

3. Click Partners

5. Use the toggles to turn on the ad account permissions you want to grant

You can change these permissions anytime by following the same process and saving your edits.

You can remove a partner at any time by clicking the trash can next to the partner’s name:

How to request business access to a Pinterest account

If you’re an agency or freelancer who works with client Pinterest accounts, you will need to request business access to their account before you can get to work.  You need to ask your client for their Pinterest business ID to request access. 

Follow these steps to request access to your clients’ Pinterest business accounts:

1. Confirm your client has a Pinterest business account and ask for their Pinterest business ID

2. Login to your Pinterest for business account 

3. Click on Business access in the top right-hand corner menu

6. Enter your client’s Pinterest business ID

8. Click Add partner

9. Your client will receive an email invitation with your request

10. Your client accepts the request and grants you the required permissions to their Pinterest account
